My husband visits this one forum where they all usually show pictures of their cars. Someone posted the idea of everyone showing their face. I am real curious as to what all of you look like. If we know what each other looks like, we may find each other on the islands. I will have to find a recent picture of myself and get it on Photobucket. I just posted one from about 1 1/2 years ago on the honeymoon hotel thread.
I think this will be a fun post. I'm ready for some more fun.
Show us what you look like! 🙂

Great pics all!!! Since the pics don't seem to want to show themselves on the post, let's try a link to the yahoo photo albums. Here's three pics that I've tried to post.

First, "Mojito Heaven" - - Me and hubby in San Juan: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcbgateway/album?.dir=78d6re2&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

Second, "Flyin' high in the VI" - - my hubby and son at Trunk Bay:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcbgateway/album?.dir=77care2&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcbgateway/my_photos

Lastly, "We're Not in Kansas Anymore" - - a water spout at the cruise dock in CA:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcbgateway/album?.dir=e11d&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcbgateway/my_photos

Does that work?

LLBL - What great pictures! The water spout shot is AMAZING! And that one of your husband & son at Trunk Bay is such a frozen moment in time! You two at the bar is awfully cute too!

This is a great thread! Thanks for starting it Terri!

It's nice to finally see your face. So, you are the blonde, not California Girl. 🙂
Nice pictures!

Yes, I agree, Blu. We need to see pictures of some of you who haven't shared yet.
I'm looking for a family picture so you will recognize all of us on STJ next June.
(No one else probably plans that far in advance and is already obsessed with their trip that is over 7 months away!) 🙂

Keep the pictures coming!

Well, Richard, aren't you handsome! I am getting the biggest kick out of seeing all of your smiling faces!!! I think my favorite part of all these pictures is how we all randomly fell in love with the same islands and now share the obsession with each other and would have never met otherwise... I mean, we could have walked by each other outside of Woody's and never thought about how much we had in common coming from different parts of the country and different backgrounds, etc. Just thinking out loud, but I have really enjoyed putting faces with the names...

Hey Richard! Haven't I seen you on Desperate Housewives? You look an awful lot like the guy who plays Mike (in case you don't watch that show, that's a compliment!) 🙂

I'm lovin' this thread too!

I put mine on Photobucket, which by the way is free. It is really easy to register and they give directions on how to download your pictures. I resized the picture using edit to the size for message boards (640 x 480) and saved that. Then I highlighted the img link at the bottom, right clicked on it, used copy, then pasted it in the post. Have the message board up ready to type a message and then copy that img link to the post. Preview your message and the picture should show up.
Does that make sense?

These are directions that I gave on another thread. My teenage daughter showed me how. If you have a teenager in the house, they usually know a lot about computers. 🙂

Easiest way I know of to upload and link to an image without having to create an account on a photo-sharing website is the following:

1. Go to http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/

2. Hit the 'Browse' button and navigate to the directory where the image is stored on your machine

3. Select the dropdown list box next to 'Resize image' (for a message board I recommend 320x240 or 640x480)

4. Hit the 'Upload' button (this will upload the image to webshots.com and take you to another web page)

5. Under the heading 'Links to Original Image' , select and copy the text in the "for a forum or message board (primary)*" box.

6. Paste that text into your message. Now delete all the text which you've just pasted EXCEPT that which starts with . It should look something like

7. Hit 'Preview' and you should see your image. If not, make sure you've cut-and-pasted (and edited) the link correctly.

8. Hit 'Post message'

California Girl,

I'm afraid the extent of my acting career is limited to once playing Tom Sawyer in a play in the 6th grade.

And no, I haven't seen Desperate Housewives. But thank you for the compliment (I think?!).

Here is a picture of my whole family. We are on the SS Badger (a ferry that goes across Lake Michigan between Wisconsin and Michigan). Not the same as the Caribbean, but fun anyway.

If you see this family in STJ in June 2007, say hi. I might not respond to "Terri" at first since it is not my name and is actually a nickname that I don't like. Why I chose it, I don't know.

On the Virgin Islands On Line message board I am "sea-nile" if anyone goes over there. California Girl introduced me to it.
Now I am even spending more time on the computer obsessing about the USVI.:)

Terri - Great family pic! I wish I was going in June 07 to meet up with you and yours. Your son looks to be about the same age (maybe older) than mine. My son is 10, daughter 8 (going on 16). I am racking up my AAdvantage miles and Marriott points. Who knows - - maybe June is in the picture yet!

My son is 11 and his hair is even longer now! He looks like a hippie, kind of like how the boys looked in the '70's when I was in Jr. High and High school. By June, he may be mistaken for a girl if he doesn't get a trim.
My daughter is 15 and will be 16 when we go to STJ in June. She is 15 going on 30!
Just wait, teenage girls are a unique experience. She is a good kid, but the emotions, yikes! :S

Thanks for the nice comment.
